Interest Meeting Details
1. Attire
Wrestling Shoes, Clean Shirt and Shorts/Jogging Pants are needed for practice each day. Dress appropriately for the cold weather, bring a sweatshirt or coat to wear outside after every practice to help prevent illness.
Wrestlers compete in a team compression shirt and team competition shorts
Headgear is mandatory at practice and in matches, the team provides headgear or you can opt to purchase personal headgear
If you wear Braces, you must wear a Mouth Guard that covers your braces (Top and/or Bottom)
2. Physical Information
CAN NOT practice without a doctor’s physical on file at school

Due before November 15
If you don't have personal doctor you can get a physical at Your Docs In or Express Care Urgent Care Center
3. Pay to Play Fee
There is No Pay to Play Fee this season
4. Practice Schedule
First Practice is Wednesday November 15 from 3pm - 5pm
Mandatory practices are Monday through Friday from 3pm - 5pm

6. Preparation
Begin stretching, jogging, and push-ups, strength training (there is weight-lifting after school on Mondays and Thursdays)
7. Certification Date
Date: Tentatively set for Saturday November 18 from approximately 8am-9am
Location: MMHS
Purpose: Hydration Test used to determine a safe weight to wrestle
Weight Classes - 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, 215, and 285
* 2 additional pounds are given in January for weight already certified at
8. Managers
Duties will be assigned 1st Day of Practice
Responsibilities include: cleaning mats, cafeteria set-up before & after practice, maintaining scorebook/clock
9. Academics & Conduct of those Wishing to Wrestle
You must maintain a 2.0 gpa to be eligible for sports. Anyone involved in misconduct in or out of school may be dismissed.
